Great news for NSW
The first of 3 official pilot rail trails in regional NSW on state government owned but out of service rail corridors is finally opening on Friday 3 April, 2020. It remains a construction site till then. As the photo below shows, path sealing as well as bridge, drainage and other works are still underway.

The 21 klm ‘trail on rail’ shared pathway will lead the way for rail trails developments across regional New South Wales.
NSW has lagged behind the rest of Australia as well as New Zealand, the USA, Canada, UK, Europe and much of the world for far too long. The success of the Tumbarumba to Rosewood rail trail will demonstrate to all citizens of NSW the benefits a rail trail brings to a regional community and to the whole state.
Make a date in 2020 to visit the Tumbarumba to Rosewood rail trail. Just a reminder that the trail is still a construction site so is not available for use before April 3.
